What do I do now?

Well, the stress of the semester is over. I got my grades--they were pleasingly good. Did a celebratory drunk on Friday; after a bit of a false start, ended up having a fabulous Sunday. Woke up this morning with no obligations for the next 3 weeks, other than catching up on the transcription job I do from home. So, I've got nothing but time. What's a girl to do?

Guess I'll start by watching this early, awesome Tom Jones video. Love the intro with the candle--it's random and hilarious:

That's good. Now on to more idleness! :)

What do you do now? Treat yourself! You've worked hard for those marks...and the next 3 weeks should be used to relax, and indulge in a little selfish joy.

Whatever turns your crank...

=)

That's very kind, Neil. Thanks!

Congrats on being done! Congrats on being drunk! Come visit LA in your spare time!

Or, alternately, take a well-earned rest. :)

Thanks, C. Well-earned rest for now, but L.A. very soon (I hope)! I'm craving Baja Fresh, time with my friends and a little visit to the beach. :)

A blog interloper dives right in. In the midst of my greatest period of rock and roll snobbery, I found myself in Atlantic City at a Tom Jones concert. Perhaps, one of the best performances I have ever seen. The way he worked the crowd and interacted with his band - pure magic.

Agreed, Damron! I had the distinct advantage of having front row seats at one of his 2006 Vegas shows at the MGM Grand, and had the time of my life. I don't know who was more giddy--me or my Mom. :)

Welcome to the Realm! Nice to have you here.

What an awesome video! Thanks for sharing. I have to find a man that can dance like the second guy. :)

Incidentally, I went dancing at a local club for the first time in about 3 years last Thursday (a blown out knee and subsequent surgery had prevented me from indulging) and was reminded both a.) I'm really out of shape--I'm still sore! and b.) how much I had missed it.

I've decided the only solution is to do it a whole bunch more, thus a. and b. can be eliminated.

I'm reminded of a Pete Townshend lyric, "gotta get so drunk to try a new dance." (Slit Skirts)
